Collaboration: BigFace and Artpresso Design

Jimmy has teamed up with Steven Monti, the proprietor and designer of Artpresso Design, to create custom-made espresso machines—a La Marzocco Strada and a La Marzocco Linea Mini—and barista equipment completely for the BigFace model.

The collaboration started when a member of the BigFace group, who had seen different customization tasks Artpresso Design had carried out with La Marzocco machines, reached out to the design firm. Steven Monti says he was immediately intrigued. “The method they’re taking with BigFace is disruptive and main, which impressed me to need to contribute to the model,” Steven tells Barista Journal On-line.

The Design Course of

Embarking on designing the Strada, Steven’s problem was to make sure that the customization remained true to the machine’s stunning type and performance whereas incorporating the BigFace model identification and Jimmy’s ardour for espresso. Steven introduced totally different creative ideas to the BigFace workers, who would then choose their favourite options.

Subsequent, Steven created prototypes to see what the designs would seem like. Future Launches
