I purchased the 6-oz pie for $2.99 on sale.
The crust was flaky and crispy but in addition actually dry. The field included microwave crisping materials in each the dish and the field (which appears to be pretty commonplace for pot pies these days).
Apparently, the crust was pretty thick and durable and you’ll truly raise the pie out of the dish to every it by hand (which is smart as Boomerang’s pies are impressed by Aussie meat pies). I am used to consuming pot pies out of the dish with a fork or spoon.
The filling was flippantly salty with a savory, herbed taste. There have been small cuts of beef and potatoes within the thick gravy however the gravy lacked richness. The meat-to-potato ratio skewed a bit closely in the direction of the potatoes (that could be true of most frozen pot pies however perhaps the number of the veggies makes it appear much less so in different pies).
Total, Boomerang’s Steak and Potato Pie was considerably ho-hum in my guide. I typically like steak and potatoes however the taste was overly plain right here.
